Night Boating

This is a comic about life, friendship, and creation. For a long time, Yuer, the other half of Buyi, and I communicated online to create images and translate the works of our favourite artists. The story of “Night Boating” takes place on a summer evening, when we briefly meet after a day of work to sail on the West Lake. On the boat, we delve into the plot of our other work, The Wonderland of the Visible, and incorporate the forms and metaphors of the straight lines from The Wonderland into our everyday scenes.
In the long journey of life, creation is just like the orange-red lines etched upon the night in the comic, which add a vibrant splash of colour to the otherwise pale existence, giving us the courage needed to overcome difficulties.

这是一篇关于生活、友情及创作的漫画，在过去很长一段时间里，我与“不一”的另一位小伙伴Yuer通过网络沟通的方式进行图像创作、翻译喜爱的艺术家作品。《夜航船》的故事发生于某个夏日傍晚，一天工作结束后，我们短暂相见，泛舟西湖，在船上探讨我们的另一部作品《可见之地》的故事走向，并将《可见之地》中直线的形式及隐喻融入日常画面。
在人生长旅中，创作犹如漫画中叠加在夜色之上的橙红色线条，给贫乏的生活增添了一抹亮色，并给予我们克服困境的勇气。
