After Hours

At the beginning of the year, I went to live in Beijing for half a year due to work requirements. This comic captures daily moments from that period. After starting work, no matter where I am, I treasure the after hours before sleep, either reading or drawing, doing things that allow me to immerse myself. Taking time to relax is also a good choice, so I often went to watch the sunset at the Corner Tower and Jingshan Park or went for runs along the Tongzi River. In the summer, the sunsets were late. By the time I returned home after watching the sunset, it was already past nine o’clock, and the day had come to an end.
I like cycling or walking, exploring the unfamiliar city. The unknown is always better than the unchanging life, it makes you tense up, become sharp and full of expectation, and then rekindle the passion for life. On nights in August or September, when the enormous moon ascended from the horizon, I wandered through the alleys, seeking better angles of view. The scene is distant yet comforting. Despite never having the opportunity to meet my idol, it’s quite fine that he appeared in this comic instead. Yesterday, while listening to Radio Cloud Nine, I learned that Beihai Park plays ChaoJian’s music. Wish I could go back and stroll around again.

年初，因工作需要去北京短暂生活了半年，这篇漫画记录下当时的日常片段。工作后不管在哪个城市，都格外珍惜下班后、入睡前的时间，或读书或画画，做能让人沉浸下来的事。放空也是很好的选择，所以当时常去角楼和景山看日落、沿筒子河跑步。夏季日落时间晚，看完日落走回住所便已九点多，一日将去。
喜欢骑车或步行，在陌生的城市巡游。未知相较一成不变的生活来说总是好的，它让你竖起神经，变得敏锐而充满期待，进而重燃对于生活的热情。八九月的夜晚，巨大的月亮从地平线升起，我在胡同间穿行，寻找属于它的视角，那个场景遥远又安心。想偶遇的偶像最终没遇着，出现在漫画里也挺好。昨天听九霄电台，提及北海公园里会播放朝简的音乐，真想回去再游玩一次。
